Cirencester Band takes seriously its safeguarding responsibilities for young players and for players with care and support needs. The Band’s Safeguarding Policy states that:
Cirencester Band believes that a child, young person or adult with care and support needs should never experience abuse of any kind. We have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk and to keep them safe. We are committed to act in a way that protects them.
Additional documents are available to the committee and to members that provide advice and guidance on the procedures for reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns. These are:

- Guidance on transporting and supervising young people,
- How to respond to a safeguarding concern,
- Information about types of abuse,
